Best Biking Roads
Being a motorcyclist usually means that we love riding great roads, full of twisties and nice scenery. We avoid motorways like the plague (unless we need to get to a nice road in a hurry).

So here's a great website, BestBikingRoads.com, that has a database of great motorcycle roads in Europe. They currently cover:

  • UK,
  • Ireland,
  • France,
  • Spain,
  • Portugal,
  • Italy,
  • Belgium,
  • Netherlands,
  • Germany,
  • Switzerland,
  • Austria,
  • Sweden,
  • Denmark and
  • Norway

(although not all are entered yet).

Select a country (hover your mouse over the country to see the number of routes available), click, and then select the region (hover mouse again to see which ones have routes).

Once you've select a route, you'll see a map with the route, and a rating (Corners, Straights, Scenery, Road Surface, Visibility, Police Presence, Hazards and Overall Rating). You'll also see photos, and if available, a GPS file you can download.

Great initiative. Now, if all of you here in Europe would go to the website and enter your preferred routes...

Hope they let USA residents register soon (couldn't find my location in the drop down) but hey, great idea. I would love to use it and contribute to it! A great work in progress. Thanks for the heads up, as always, Mike!
