Yes, another year has gone, and I'm now officially an old & wise man (or so they think). Oh well, what can I say.... I'm celebrating with an even old person; Mickey Mouse.....

I'm surprised with my life style that I made it so far. That'll maybe change in January when I try to follow the Dakar race on my motorcycle....midlife crisis... forget it...

    Happy Birthday

    Happy Birthday Mike,

I hope you got some good motorcycle related presents, Possible something to help you stay the course while following the Dakar rally (A spare set of knees?)

I'm planning a round Britain coastal trip for my 50th birthday. 4,500 miles. Going to visit all the RNLI stations to help raise some money for them.

Have a great day. All the best wishes from PB.

Happy Birthday too. I see today you're in Florida. Long way from Normandy. Bring your bike?

Hi Mike, and may I be among the many to wish you a very happy birthday! I really enjoy your site, and pretty much visit it every day. I just about always find something fun or informative here, and I just want to say thanks for all the hard work.

Don't know what milestone you reached this year, but I hit 39 next Saturday. Looking forward to seeing if the old saying about life starting at 40 is true or not - only 371 days to go until I find out!

Happy Birthday, and hope the year to come holds all you wish for.

    Simon

Happy Birthday Mike! The Dakar trip sounds like sublime folly, but would no doubt be the trip of a lifetime. Hope you get to do it.

    Birthday wishes

    Mike,

The motorcycle will keep you young - best wishes for this birthday and many more.

Your blog is one of the first things I check when I log in each morning. I appreciate the range of topics you cover, and the diligence with which you stay on top of things. Thanks for your work.

    Cecilie

    Happy B-day

Mike, happy birthday old timer! Remember: "You don't stop riding because you get old, you get old because you stop riding." The Dakar ride should add years to your life if the lions don't get you! Try to lose some weight before the ride, you'll make a less tempting meal.

    Doug
